This park surveys a landscape where industrial districts are advancing between fields and forests. It was created for a family of steelworkers who brought with them several features made by Lorraine’s metalworkers, most notably an elegant pavilion boasting interlocking cast-iron branches. The park surrounding the Bétange château is very much in the English style, a harmonious blend of woods and meadows. It was designed by Baron Théodore de Gargan at the end of the 19th century, and is enclosed by a wrought-iron fence and two beautiful gates. You can also see to water features fed by the Mésing river, which runs through the forest of Florange.
