Parc Sainte-Marie, Nancy

    • Rating

This park takes its name from the hermitages dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the 17th century, far away from the town walls. The town bought this land in 1904 to plant a public garden, a sort of Nursery for the new urban district. In 1909, it hosted the East France Universal Exhibition, and the picturesque Alsatian House is still there today. Renamed the Nature House, it hosts public exhibitions based on the environment and plays host to various activities as well as tours of the botanical gardens.
